Well located but super loud

Honestly, the hotel is very conveniently located right in the heart of the business district. But that's really all the positive. It's dark, not very inviting, the location is super loud due to all the construction inside and outside of the hotel. There really isn't anywhere to sit but a small"ish" cafe that was closed the whole time I was there. The staff was professional but not very warm. It was also strange that the reception staff doesn't quite look up while checking you in only when trying to upsell. Rooms by the elevator...DO NOT STAY in them. I thought we had an airplane passing very close by until realized I was in the room right next to the elevator.

We stayed in a club junior suite 2 adults and 1 child. Having the lounge area is great when traveling with kids to have that extra space. Rooms are decorated very classic not overly modern. Having the club access was amazing breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks and canapés were so good to have. Close walk to circular quay and tram and train handy for sight seeing.

We have been staying at this hotel for 45 years and it never disappoints. We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary on that night. Our first night at your hotel was our wedding night in April 1979. It will always hold a special place in our heart. The staff were exceptional.Our suite was amazing.
