Novotel Darwin Airport 4 stars

Thank you so much Novotel for managing to still surprise and exceed our previously wonderful experience staying with you! This time we were there to celebrate a birthday in the family, and we went all out and were very appreciated for the exceptional and generous hospitality. Check-in went so smoothly for us, as reception was very friendly, all with a welcoming smile. Throughout the day I did see that when there was a line at reception, all hands were on deck (including management) serving and welcoming all the guests with fast and efficient check in. Entering our very spacious and beautiful suite, we were very pleasantly surprised with a birthday gift from Novotel. Thank you so much for the thoughtfulness, the care and generosity in making our celebration even more memorable for our family. Our room was refreshingly cool (aircon and fans were on) and impeccably clean, right down to the finest details in the bathroom to the carpet! The pools are understandably the main attraction, and we somehow are always in awe of how amazing it is, every time we come and stay! These beautiful resort and tropical style pools are just the perfect place to relax for adults and so much fun for kids of all ages. Both the Splash Café and Cossies Poolside Bar and Bistro always provide the friendliest services. Because we were celebrating a special occasion, we decided to dine in for dinner at the breezy restaurant, Cossies. It was a very relaxing, tropical atmosphere. Seeing all the dishes come out, Cossies offered such a variety of delicious meals, all of it was of the best quality! Having now experienced dining at Cossies for all of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we can happily say that this is a restaurant that is perfect for all occasions, at any time of the day. Offering dine-in a la carte or even takeaway / poolside, the abundance of food and drinks are conveniently available for everyone. Cossies were also kind enough to cater to special requests and all the servings of our meals were of generous portions for our family. Their Buffet Breakfasts provide such a huge range, and are so delicious, the kids seem to always go for round 3, it’s the only time where its their favourite meal of the day. It’ll be hard to choose what time of the day is good to dine there as we enjoyed ALL our meals. It hasn’t even been a week since we dined there and already my husband is asking for a return! *Special thanks to Jake Ha for the phenomenal service provided, right from the beginning of our reservation to pleasantly meeting and being welcomed by him. This was the best staycation we’ve ever experienced because of the services received at Novotel. ** I’d also like to specifically thank the housekeeping ladies Poppy & Paulina. The room we stayed in 608 was one of the cleanest and perfectly presented rooms I had ever stayed in throughout all my years of travel. The carpets felt clean, the toiletries were perfectly presented and right down to the toilet paper being stamped (standards that would’ve matched the expectations of other 5-star properties). Walking through the hallway, every time I’d see these lovely ladies, they would always have a happy smile, and we always exchanged friendly greetings. It is a joy to see them. *** The unique brand (products) used "Elemental Herbology" were divine! The scent was so refreshing, it left us with the feel of being in a spa, if only we could use these at home! Staying at the Novotel has now become such a treasured family experience, we are now always wanting to re-book and countdown to our next visit. We’ve promised the kids that at the very least for them, we’ll make the most of the pool / day passes and enjoy a family feast at Cossies to celebrate their birthdays and for us parents, we’ll be treating ourselves to staying for a weekend in suites. We can’t wait to see you all again at our next birthday and possibly even considering New Years Eve!

Staff were unhelpful to a request to leave some sealed frozen fish in hotel freezer overnight. Last year we were able to and was not a problem

Hotel is very conveniently located adjacent to the DRW INT Airport. The staff are friendly.

Due to an earlier flight, we gave up a reservation in Darwin and changed to the Novotel. Convenient to walk to the airport; the shuttle for the 06:15 departure was perfect! An ozone generator was in our original room on the pool side was running when we checked in. Reception transferred us to another room immediately. However, the "upgrade" was same floor and smaller room. The stay was comfortable nevertheless and I would recommend the Novotel for anyone with an early flight out of Darwin.
