Laundry Service
  • Perfect for the Average Man with average expectations
Pulled in at night tired and weary, and was confronted by about the most pleasant and enthusiastic Reception Man I've ever come across. Chirpy, bright, efficient and super helpful. Staggered off to room #137, parked right at the door, and entered a clean, comfy if slightly tired room,,, a middle-of-the-road Three Star. All was in order, shower worked, toilet flushed.... got a good night's sleep. The next morning the bloke in the next room apologised for the racket his 6 year-old made, but I heard nothing (and I hadn't been drinking either). The 'free' continental brekkie was standard fare - not much one can do to crank up wonders with cornflakes and toast. All in all, a pleasant yet forgettable experience, but there was no one to steal!!!
  • Walk to the CBD. Reasonably priced
Room was clean and tidy. Location ideally situated within walking distance of CBD. Setting and condition of the motel was quite dated and in desperate need of some refreshing TLC. Whilst WiFi reception was non existent in our room forcing me to sit in the reception foyer and the bedside lamp didn't work, these weren't deal breakers. A/C was 'just' adequate though given it was 46 deg during our visit, it was an exceptional period and such weaknesses were more noticeable. We had a nice and quiet evening with high sleep quality. Given bookings were very low on our night there, I'm in no doubt that significantly contributed to the quietness. Road / traffic noise was minimal. The room came with continental b/fast included which is a bonus. Staff were friendly and courteous. As a basic place for an overnight stop I would be happy to stay here again.
  • Poor restaurant service
Had dinner last night and the service was almost non existent. We ate but it was disappointing. The hotel was ok as a country hotel that you stay one night as you pass through but I would not want to stay more than one night.
