  • Work Stay
Stayed at the Ibis Styles Lansvale for a two and a half week period at the start of July while working in the area. Found the rooms to be clean and quiet, well appointed with reverse cycle air conditioning and foxtel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great restaurant attached - do yourself a favour and go try the lamb shanks. Overall i was very happy with this hotel - being an Ibis hotel I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised by the quality, décor and the professionalism of the staff. Well done - i'll be back
  • The floor... the floor...!
We spent a night here, and while it looked nice at first, walking on the carpeted floor changed our impression of the room. The carpet felt like it was washed and didn't dry properly -- it felt slightly damp and very dirty. The room was spacious, and the bed and the sofa were comfortable, but there was no getting away from the ickiness of the floor. Plus the plantation blinds did not darken the room at all. The bright lights outside the room filtered in through the plantation blinds -- which was bad for people like us who like sleeping in dark rooms. The toiletries were barely enough for two people -- one tiny tube of shampoo, one tiny tube of shower gel, and one tiny bar of soap. Still, for one night, it was fine.
  • One of the better in the area
I don't know why Accor Hotels insists on having so many overlapping brands. Ibis is known as a pretty budget type of hotel, but now they have Ibis Budget, which is definitely budget, and Ibis Styles, which is around 4 star and steps on the toes of its existing Novotel and Mercure brands. This motel is in a pretty isolated area and taxis are a real problem should you need one. However the property itself is rather nice. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable although some new pillows would be appreciated. It's very funny to find a motel that has a bar and pokies room that stays open until 5am, but certainly a late thirst quencher is not a problem and their drink prices are way cheaper than the usual motel bar. It's not a place I would have a lengthy stay at, mostly because of location, but overall it's a well-run and reasonably priced overnight stop.
