  • Great location!
Friendly service especially the concierge and clean spacious apartments. Walking distance to just about every Sydney attraction. Circular quay is only 5 minutes walk so you can easily catch a ferry to anywhere you want to go.
  • Great view with balcony!
But the rest of the story is a little mixed. It did not appear that many of the downtown hotels had balconies, which made the view fom Quay West spectacular. However, this a mixed hotel and apartment type environment. So no hotel lobby to speak of, and since you have a kitchen in your room the restaurant and bar are not much. We only saw the bar open once. We ducked in for a night cap at 8:45 pm. Immediately after getting our drinks, the bartender said it was last call. There was some confusion about our room at check in. They accidently gave us the key to an occupied room. But honestly, the manager did straighten it out and being in a room by 10:30 am after the all night flight to Sydney was priceless.
  • Worth it for the view
We always like to stay here when in Sydney, and book a one-bedroom harbour view suite. You get a kitchenette, sitting room, dining table, bathroom, bedroom, washer and dryer. Good facilities in the kitchen, including toaster, microwave, cafetiere mean that we can make our own breakfast which we prefer (get supplies from Woolworths at the Metcentre a short walk away). WiFi was better than previous visits. Front desk staff are helpful. The best thing about it, and justifies the quite high cost, is the wonderful view over the bridge, Circular Quay, Opera House and the harbour. Just sit and watch the view and all that is going on.
