- Lovely small hotel, great location, excellent serviceThe service in this hotel is faultless. Every single staff member was polite, friendly and professional, they made us feel incredibly valued. the rooms… are small, and the window doesn't open. My only one real complaint was that the shower was very mouldy and unclean, and there is no ventilation fan. After leaving the little shower window open all week it seemed to dry out, but it shouldn't have got that bad in the first place. We hardly spent any time in our room during the week we were there are there is so much to do. We didn't have a car, we happily caught trains and ferries everywhere we wanted to go, which was so easy. We had one meal from the restaurant. It was booked out (it is TINY) so we ate at the bar, which was really too cramped for a meal. The food was served quickly, tasted good and was reasonably priced, but the menu wasn't exciting. Overall, the location is the winner.
- Great FindWith prices in the Rocks through the roof, this was a great find for a quick Sydney stay that kept us close to the action by the harbor. The staff went… out of their way to help us with tourist tips during the hotel happy hour. The room was smallish, but well appointed, stylish and with views of the cute alley ways in the neighborhood. Waking up on day 3 to a cruise ship towering over the neighborhood was also fun. Free wifi when you join the Accor member program.
- Great location but noisyGreat little boutique hotel in the heart of the Rocks. Less than 5 minutes walk to Circular Quay, lots of restaurants and bars around, so its in a great… location. Small bar area, cafe with great coffee and lovely lounge/library area to sit in. As previous writers have said, there is no lift, so be prepared to climb the stairs to your rooms, or request ground floor. My room was quite small compared to normal Sydney rooms (only space for bed, TV & cupboard, no desk or chairs). Nice to have both an opening window and air conditioning too. Only complaint was that the room I was in was incredibly noisy. It faced north, so had a view of the Opera House & I could see the top of the Harbour Bridge from the bathroom, but with all the bars around, there was loud music playing (on a Thursday night) until quite late. The hotel also has a small lift to bring up food & luggage which was right by my room and incredibly loud, and being used as late as 9pm and as early as 6.45. Its a lovely hotel, in a great location, but request to be away from the lift!
