- Nice hotel, it could be betterThe room was ok and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is great, with lots of different food, mostly continental breakfast. Pool and gum are quote small for… the hotel. Especially the pool, which is probably about 10 meters pr less The gym gets crowed quickly in the morning Bar close at 11pm (apart Sunday night after the F1 GP) and this is not nice The hotel is at 20mins walking to the St Kilda Beach, which can be a place to spend the day or around bars and clubs in the night
- Great place to stay in Melbourne, convenient but away from the noiseI've stayed here a few times. It's a sort taxi or tram ride from the city centre but close to Chapel Street, St Kilda etc. It's across the road from Lake… Albert which is a lovely morning walk or run. It also has a good gym and pool. The staff are friendly and very helpful and accommodating, the facilities great and the rooms very clean and comfortable. It has a great coffee/snack area and the restaurant is very nice. The only thing that the staff could not do is arrange for my football team to win. I look forward to my next visit.
- Nice staff, uncomfortable beds.We arrived before the check in time to the hotel, but our room was not ready- which we expected. The friendly front desk staff told us we were able to… leave our bags there and explore the area for a few hours until the room was ready. Once my husband and I were able to check in- our room was supposed to be a king bed and when we walked in it was 2 twin beds. We called down to the front desk to inquire about the bed and the man said they "just need pushed together". A maid was sent up to push and zip he beds together- which I understand is common- but there was no cushion, or liner to truly make it a king bed. When laying in the bed you could feel the hard center, which was painful to sleep on. The nice staff at the front desk provided us with area maps and general directions which was very helpful. However- there is limited free wifi in the lobby- which you can only access with a code from the front desk. It changes every 30 minutes- which was rather annoying. We were there for a week so having to ask for the new code multiple times a day was tiresome.
