- Enjoyable stayMy partner and I stayed here as part of his birthday weekend celebrations. All staff members were extremely friendly, and the hotel was certainly charming.… The room was very spacious and clean, with a wide selection of minibar items and dine-in menu options. The bed and pillows were amazing, and we had the best sleep we have had in ages. The hotel has a large heated indoor pool and jacuzzi on ground level, as well as gender-separate saunas. It was a shame that we did not have a nice view from our room, but other than that, it was an enjoyable stay.
- Love this placeHave returned to the Mercure Melbourne Albert Park a couple of times now and this place just gets it. I always feel so welcome at this hotel and as a… Platinum Accor Member I have been pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of red wine waiting for me in my room. The hotel shares reception with the Pullman and the service is very consistent. The design of the hotel does lend itself to noise from the atrium and foyer flowing up the middle of the open hotel and noise can be a little loud at times especially at peak times however never anything to worry about. The hotel is always clean and has a very good fitness area. You are located slightly out of the city perhaps 10 - 15 mins on a tram however you are located ideally across the road from probably the best park/lake in Australia with a fabulous walking track. Great way to start the day especially if you have already been to the very good buffet breakfast prior. Highly rate this hotel for value and service this is my new go to hotel for Melbourne given its proximity to my office but also given the fact I always feel valued and welcome when I am here. See you again soon!!
- Great ValueA few facts about our room (3406 on the Mercure side of the hotel): 1. Non Lake facing room 2. Twin Queen beds 3. Shower in bath tub I had stayed here… before so i knew what the hotel was like and was comfortable that 3 of us (2 adults and 1 child) could stay here for 4 nights. I managed to book through Wotif for < $100/nt. The location is enjoyable as it is out of the city but very close by tram to get into it. It is also a short walk into St Kilda, which is handy as there are a few restaurants and other shops there (grocery store, pharmacy and a laundromat). The room itself was tidy, the carpet a little dated as was the bathroom. However all seemed clean enough. There was a stale, musty type of odour in the hall leading to our room. My guess is the carpet was old and the only air circulation is via the air conditioning so the air was stale. This lack of air circulation made the room feel a little stuffy with 3 of us in there but not to any unbearable extent. The fridge in the room was of sufficient size to be able to store a few large bottles and enabled us to make our own breakfast each day, which was handy given a few dietary restrictions. Check in and front desk staff were always attentive and any queries were responded to promptly. We would stay here again but we'd ask for a Lake facing room next time. However a refurbishment of some aspects of the facility wouldn't go astray!
