- clean and comfortable but not great locationroom is clean and tidy and staff are friendly and welcoming. no free wifi in room. at this day and age, that is very strange (although seems to be common… in australian hotels). located in a part of little bourke that gets very noisy very early in the morning. looks like there are some construction depots next door, so trucks, people shouting in the early morning. stay here is you get a low rate, otherwise not worth it.
- Standards have slippedIbis Little Bourke is my regular choice for solo trips to Melbourne. However being my 4th time here I left quite disappointed. The hotel no longer offers… pay per view movies which was a motivator in choosing this property all other times. The outdated TVs cut off at least 10% on each side of the screen which can be annoying. This trip the toilet continued to run after flushing (not good when you are pregnant!). Was reported on the card provided by cleaning staff but no alternate room or maintenance was offered. The bathroom roof had green stains and runs down the wall from condensation which was not a good look. Staff are always friendly, location is super convenient to southern cross and is still a strong 3 stars. Would still recommend to others or stay again at the right price but will be considering other options next Melbourne stay sadly.
