- Basic accommodation, but good breakfast in restaurantBeing our first time on tour to Katherine, we're not sure what else is available - our room was only very average, quite shabby really, we were disappointed… for we'd paid for upgrade, if this was upgrade, then "downgrade" would be terrible. However it was just one night so we put up with it, we were tired after travel so it was ok. We had a full breakfast included in our tour package, and it was very nice, and generous, quite a pleasant dining room.
- Met expectationsPrevious reviews are pretty much spot on so adjust your radar accordingly and you won't have too many problems. A beautiful part of the world and it provided… a bed and hot shower so that was good enough. Didn't eat there but breakfast looked inviting while checking out.
- Convenient oasisI have been staying at this hotel at least annually for many years. It is the pick of places to stay in Katherine because it is set on large, resort-style… grounds just outside of Katherine on the south side. Rooms vary from standard through to spacious family rooms which are great when traveling with kids. While generally looking a bit tired, our room had a renovated bathroom which was very nice. Being a family room, we also had a kitchenette and laundry facilities in-room. The grounds are very pleasant with an excellent pool and tennis court. The restaurant is good and the new deal for breakfast, just $11 for a full cooked breakfast is a bargain. Staff are friendly and welcoming although, as is usual for the Northern Territory, there may be new staff still learning their jobs. Overall good value, quiet and comfortable. I keep going back.
