- First time and last time.Stayed two separate nights on business. The first night I had a room where the TV was on the side of the room, not in front of the bed. I got a seriously… sore neck trying to watch TV and gave up in the end. The room was tiny. Plus, they wanted to charge me $10 a night for wifi. What a joke. Glad I wasn't paying for it myself. Second night, different room. Still a very small room. Not very well appointed. It kind of had that "hospital feel to it. Certainly wasn't a king0sized bed as advertised. It was actually two twin beds pushed together and it was very uncomfortable where they met in the middle, so I had to sleep on one side. I REALLY expected better. Won't be staying there again.
- Great Boutique HotelHotel very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Location next to China Town, Markets and Darling Harbour. Approx 2min walk to light rail where you can… connect to city loop line at central station to go to the Harbour or other places of interest. So for us a fantastic location.
- Perfect Hotel For Business Or Pleasure! We stayed here for three nights and ran an event in one of their function rooms. The location of the hotel is terrific, close to Chinatown, Paddy's Market,… Darling Harbour and lots of shopping and within walking distance to so much more. The room was good, clean and well presented. The view from our 8th floor room was over the Chinese Gardens and looked across to the city skyline. Although there is a lot of large building construction going on right next door, we were never disturbed by this and couldn't even hear it. The bathroom had obviously been recently re-painted and was clean and tidy, however, there isn't any bench space except for the little ledge that has the toiletries on it, which is a minor irritation when you need to spread out your make-up and toiletries when getting ready. We had a lovely, relaxing breakfast on the Sunday in their Ceezens Restaurant with plenty of room at their high tables to spread out the newspapers. We ate at the Pumphouse a couple of times and really enjoyed the food and service. If you're looking for a little bite to eat with a wine or beer, the Pulled Pork and Fennel sausage rolls are delicious! If you're looking for a venue for a business function, this is also a great place. We used their Cockle Bay Room for 12 people and were very happy with the event staff and the catering provided ... and quite good value for money. We're holding future events later in the year and will definitely be back!
