- Great serviceBooked into the hotel for a 'just the girls' weekend. Being club members we were offered drinks and canapés in the executive lounge. Great variety of… wines, beer and spirits available with some nice tasty finger food. After midnight we started to smell cigarette smoke in the room - it's a non smoking hotel. Rang the front desk. They checked it out and couldn't identify where it was coming from but they immediately offered a fresh room. Very impressed with their care and prompt response. Rooms were both very comfortable, clean and modern. Beds were comfy. Would be happy to come back to this one. Staff have been awesome
- Comfortable hotel in reasonable location. Second visit better than the last some 3 years previous.Stayed here for 3 nights in a very comfortable room on the 6th floor. Hotel Is located on King George Square right next to the Mercure. Indeed both hotels… share a range of facilities including the foyer/reception, bars, breakfast area, gym, pool etc. Queen Street mall is less than a 5 minute walk away, Roma Street and Central railway stations are a 6/8 minute walk in opposite directions - very handy when catching the train in from the airport. The restaurants at Eagle Street Pier and along the river are approximately a 15 minute walk away. Our room fronted King George Square and had a balcony, albeit the sliding door was difficult to slide and the door did not lock. The room had a king sized bed - very comfortable with plenty of pillows - two separate leather lounge chairs, a large desk area with chair, minibar, flat screen TV and a large safe. Whilst there were two bedside tables there was only a lamp on one side such that the lighting was not great. We did hear some traffic noise during the evening/night. The bathroom was large with two separate hand basins, albeit only one soap. The shower was in the bath, which you stepped down into. Shower pressure was very good. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. WIFI was free for ACCOR members and expensive if you were not. You needed to login every 24 hours but it worked well. Breakfast was a reasonable buffet of hot and cold food, including an omelette station. This was a substantial improvement on the offerings of 3 years ago but still not up to the standard we have experienced at other Pullmans. Reception staff were friendly and efficient but reception appeared to be always busy given that it was catering to guests from both hotels. Unfortunately an order for a cheese platter from room service took approximately an hour to arrive.
- Nice hotel, expensive poor internet. Can't complain about the hotel. Everything was fine there. I opted for the premium 24 hour Internet as their free services were not worth looking at. I… paid $26 for a very poor services. Streaming anything was impossible. I expect when paying a premium price to receive a premium service. It should have been free.
