  • Great 4 day weekend...
I loved every minute of my stay. What a great hotel - good location, very friendly and helpful staff, room was perfect, KG Bar in the evening was great for a drink and snacks watching the world go by.
  • Great Hotel
Friendly accommodating helpful staff Good sized & comfortable rooms Breakfast & canapés in lounge excellent Easily accessible & central to most of the city Cannot comment on restaurant as did not use but looked good
  • Footie and show weekend
Initial reaction upon entering the room was good, then discovered the toilet seat mount was broken. No problem, I'll ring housekeeping---no answer---I'll ring reception---no answer. Put it on the too hard list. Went to the bar for a drink, and on the way saw a chap in hotel uniform, and reported it. The seat was not repaired when we checked out---two days later. Breakfast----first day was a shambles, but I put it down to overcrowding. Second day the restaurant was not overfull, but the organisation was non existent. No coffee in the urn, no full cream milk in the urn for coffee or cereal, no breakfast tea bags. No butter and the bread had not been replenished. No jam. All of these things were made available upon request, but the staff were so rushed that every request seemed an inconvenience. There was a woman in a nice suit wandering about the place who approached me near the bread station, and inquired about my morning. She seemed quite affronted when I told her what it had been like and said " well do you have everything now?" I hadn't realised at that time that butter and jam were missing. Staff in this restaurant work their butts off, but there is a lack of direction. the food quality is good, but being able to access it and relax is a nightmare.
