  • Budget convenience
The hotel rooms are budget priced and compact. On the first floor is a spacious bar, restaurant and lounge. It was popular on a Sunday morning as most of the food courts we checked out the day before were closed. The hotel is opposite the University of Adelaide just near the green space of Hindmarsh Square. On the corner is a good pub, “The Griffins”, offering a range of snacks during the day. We are in the city of churches so we attended mass at St Francis Cathedral, not far away. The only down side is that $10 for wi-fi in the room or lounge is ridiculous these days.
  • Pleasant Surprise
I must admit I'm a bit of a hotel snob and thought of the Ibis chain as the lower end - that's been my experience at Sydney Olympic Park. I'm more of a Pullman/Novotel brand from the Accor Group of properties. I checked in at 12 expecting to have to wait until the usual 2pm check in - staff were very helpful and accommodating. I was on the 9th floor in a queen/double room. Well appointed with all ammenities - albeit basic. Hotel looked newly built. Bathroom and bedroom areas were clean, fresh and comfortable. Room service is a hybrid - you order and then go down to restaurant to pick it up when the kitchen calls your room. I had oven baked chicken which was excellent. No mini bar - however vending machines on 2 floors. Location was outstanding and very central to CBD.
  • Great location
The property was very central for our needs, it was less than 2 minutes away from the main shopping area. The room was very comfortable and the facilities were extremely well maintained. The staff were knowledgable, friendly and helpful. We would stay again if we were in Adelaide.
